Dane and I have moved to Jacksonville Florida from Tulsa, OK, although we are really from sunny southern California. We often went to Palm Springs on the week ends to tootle around on our bicycles checking out the amazing Mid-Century Modern architecture there. We've found and purchased an architectural significant home in Orange Park,with the help of Realtor Jenny Aguaveva, which we are about to begin to totally transform into a Mid-Century Modern Marvel!
I am so excited to find your blog! I teach in Clay County - a junior high course entitled, "Careers in Fashion and Interior Design". My education is in Interior Design but my heart is in building/architecture. I own a local General Contracting/Roofing company here in Orange Park with my husband.
I teach my 6th grade students about Frank Lloyd Wright and we hit on bits of Prairie and Usonian movements. I showed them about your house through your blog and we are hoping that you update your blog with the renovations on your great house with pictures and possibly a video! They loved how "weird" it looks and commented on how it looked old but futuristic at the same time....:) Can't wait to see what's to come! Thanks for sharing.
